Are children allowed in the pub?
We have a family section both indoors & out. Minors are not allowed in the pub and we check two pieces of ID for all those who appear to be under age 30.
Can you accommodate my gluten-free/dairy-free/vegan diet?
We have quite a number of options including a gluten-free fryer but we cannot guarantee those options will always be available. All diet restrictions should be communicated to your server upon ordering. We have nuts in the building and we’re far away from medical services. Please arrive prepared if you need medicine/epi-pen.
Do you have daily food & drink specials?
All events, specials, and menu changes are updated on our social media. @dinghydockpub
Can we tie up our dog while we dine?
No, unfortunately, it is not safe for pets – we have little shade and we’re a very busy and bouncy dock with boaters including sea-doos arriving constantly. Certified Service Animals are of course welcome in the pub and on the patios.
Does Protection Island Ferry run 365 days a year?
Yes! Even though Dinghy Dock Pub does have seasonal closures (usually between late Dec til late-March), Protection Island Ferry runs 365 days a year, weather permitting. Please check our ferry schedule page for more information.
Do you sell souvenirs/merchandise?
Yes! While supplies last.
Do you take groups?
We welcome groups but we don’t take reservations for the ferry nor for the pub. We have one section that can accommodate 16 people – if it’s available when you arrive we’ll seat you there. Otherwise, if you’re a large group you’ll be seated at separate tables. Please note: an 18% automatic gratuity applies for groups of 6 or more people.
Can I book the pub for a private event?
We don’t have private events during the high season (May thru end of Sept). If it’s for another time of year email us at info@dinghydockpub.com to find out.
Do you have room for my 40’ boat?
We have one area for large boats and lots of room for smaller boats. Please watch the dock signage for areas available to tie up. Docking is first-come first-serve. Kayaks & dinghies have their own docks closer to shore.
Where do I catch the ferry and where do I park? What are the sailing times?
Please see the Ferry Info page for more info. Remember the ferry is cash only.
Can the ferry accommodate a wheelchair/stroller?
As long as it can be collapsed we should be fine.
Are you open year-round?
We usually close for about 3 months, approx late Dec til mid-March.
